Someone who perhaps is not as well suited to handle acting challenges is the blonde girl, but we'll get to that. For now, Alpha puts her in the chair, and takes off her nametag that reads, "Wendy," amusingly saying they won't be needing it. He then tries to explain that he's going to put her personality in a wedge, but Echo doesn't get it, so Alpha snaps that of course she doesn't -- she's too dumb and limited. Well, Alpha, to use an expression that seems appropriate given the imprints you chose, you gotta dance with what brung you. Echo's puny mind is offended, but Alpha grabs her and switches to a more patient personality as he apologizes, saying she's perfect the way she is, and what's more, he needed her like this -- daring and unafraid -- to get to where they are now. They kiss as the chair gets to work...
...and then the flashing lights send us back in time yet again to Alpha accosting Echo in the hallway. She starts to greet him, but he kisses her chastely on the lips, and then, rather amusingly, she keeps talking like she didn't even notice. He tells her he likes her and that she's special, and she replies that she tries to be her best. He kisses her again, but Blevins has appeared, and after he sends Echo off for treatment, he cautions Alpha that this kind of behavior could get him in trouble. And I think now, unfortunately, that the primary reason they gave us the whole Victor-Sierra attraction was to foreshadow Alpha's feelings here, which is fine as far as it goes, but it's kind of unsatisfying that that subplot was never picked up again. While I'm at it, given that it's November's final episode, it seems, it's a shame that most of her stuff was cut, as is the fact that Sierra was barely in the aired episode at all. Anyway, after Alpha expresses his lack of understanding of the word "hell," Blevins tells him he could end up in the Attic, so he'd better watch his step. Alpha says he will, and immediately obliges by looking down at his feet as he walks away. Normally, that's a groan, but: Alan Tudyk. Soon after, though, Alpha observes Blevins leading Echo in to see Topher, and the dark, jealous look on his face bodes ill. The lights from the lab flash...
