Well, as you might have guessed, it's waking up in Wendy's body. Alpha greets her, and she foggily asks, "Has it been five years?" She then, however, sees her own body waving at her from across the room, and I can only imagine she's wishing she read that contract a little more closely.
After we return, Alpha speechifies for a while about how Caroline's responsible for all the bad things Echo can't remember, and then there's some awful acting from the blonde that concludes with her whining, "I want my brain back! I want back in my brain!" Since she insists on going so near Spock's Brain, I'm going to rate that line a good strong Banon. Anyway, Alpha accuses Caroline of abandoning Echo to "the jackals, the wolves, the predators," and Caroline tries to claim that Adelle assured her she'd be safe. And I think that's another issue behind the scarring that ties into Adelle's use of the word "defile" earlier -- he wanted to make the Dollhouse an unsafe place, to show Adelle that her claims of protecting the Dolls from harm were false. However, this scene is taking entirely too long, both because Echo's moronic personality still Doesn't Get It and because the acting from two of the three players isn't getting the job done, so here's the point: Alpha thinks Echo can "ascend," and wants to help her do that. He adds that Caroline was never there when she needed him. "But I was..."
...as we're about to see. Alpha, Echo, and Whiskey are all caring for their bonsai trees, but Alpha quickly turns his attention to Echo. Sophie then comes in and offers Whiskey a treatment, and the bonsai supervisor says she can go as soon as she cleans up her station. While she does, Sophie and the supervisor talk about how Whiskey keeps getting sent out, with Sophie proudly reiterating that she's the most requested Doll in the house. Unfortunately, Alpha hears this statement, and we suddenly cut to him standing over Whiskey and dreamily suggesting, "Let Echo be Number One." He then slashes her face, smiling as the action slows down, and he gets on top of her and blithely continues his work as Echo watches impassively. The sound slows too, which has the effect of making Whiskey's cries more distant and yet more chilling, and this scene was amazing and pretty much caught me completely by surprise, so awesome job here. Blevins and another handler eventually drag Alpha off Whiskey as Sophie attends to her...
