...while Echo takes refuge in the Perrin family greenhouse as Cindy and two goons appear on the scene and split up. Back in the greenhouse, Echo tries to push some shelves over on Perrin, but it doesn't work, and he starts hitting her again, although with far less effectiveness than we saw from Mellie. Echo manages to kick him through a glass door, and once he's fallen to the ground, one of the goons finds him and helps him up, and gets his neck unceremoniously snapped for his trouble. Echo then runs into a gun-wielding Cindy and tries to tell her that Perrin is gone and "something else is here," but Cindy merely sniffs in exasperation about the "Doll-speak" before clocking Echo in the face, again. She instructs the other goon, who's just appeared on the scene, to watch Echo...

...and then we cut to Perrin, who hears Cindy calling him. She unwisely puts her gun away as she tries to tell him everything she said before wasn't true, and she loves him. She finds him and moves close, saying they can be happy, like before, and he plays along for a moment, but her face freezes in horror when she sees the first goon's corpse -- too late, as Perrin starts choking her...

...while outside, after the goon watching her takes a peek inside the greenhouse, Echo gets up from playing possum and knocks the guy out by breaking a flowerpot over his head. She rushes inside and tries to get Perrin off Cindy, which, given everything that's happened, is rather big of her. After some tense moments back in the lab, Vicpher manages to disable the sleeper programming, but it's too late -- Cindy is dead. Perrin is gobsmacked that he killed her, and seems to want to let the Dollhouse wipe his memory so he doesn't have to remember, but Echo tries to get him to focus and get out of there. We hear a chopper approaching as Perrin stares at Echo into the last commercial break.
