And Wing Chun really does mean "viewer," singular, because she's pretty sure everyone else in North America was watching Debb Eaton crying on the Survivor reunion.

Sailing Away - As Carter and Abby shuffle off to Tulsa, Elizabeth gives birth to the GreeneSpawn, Benton reunites with the high-school Science teacher who made him want to be a doctor, and a bevy of dumb-ass frat and sorority pledges give us a glimpse at the level of contemporary American academia. It isn't high. Well, they're high. The level isn't.

April Showers - ...bring May sweeps. Because Alex Kingston is so pregnant she's about ready to pop, the producers can't hold the big intra-doctor wedding until the season finale. Mark runs up against all kinds of contrivances...er, "obstacles," but makes it to the church by about 10:53 PM. Wing Chun joins a nation in wishing the happy couple a hearty "whatever."

Survival Of The Fittest - When a bus full of sick kids pulls up to the ER, it's hard to say which is the fittest, or which will survive. There's the fat kid with asthma, but he rats out his tormentors for making him huff some stain remover. There's the punk-ass tormentor, who turns out to have liver damage. And then there's the pregnant seventh-grader who's determined to have her baby despite her mother's objections. Speaking of kids, Carter's girlfriend is back.

Witch Hunt

Witch Hunt - After a disturbed patient accuses Legaspi of sexual harassment, Weaver is torn between vindicating Kim by telling the whole truth about their relationship, or staying in the closet where it's all safe and warm. Mark passes his evaluation and gets the nod to continue practicing medicine, but his instincts are off and lead to a tête-à-tête between Malucci and the abusive father of a troubled teen patient.

The Crossing

The Crossing - Mark attempts to prove to the medical licensing board's evaluators that he is a competent physician, though we predict he won't register any result on the personality test. Benton makes a good showing on Take Your Under-Qualified Minority Medical-School Applicant to Work Day, Elizabeth goes into early labour, Carter amputates a guy's legs, and Weaver must have hypnotized Kim into forgetting the incredibly insulting thing she said last week about the "lifestyle," because they're all lovey-dovey again. What the --?

A Walk in the Woods

A Walk in the Woods - Frankly, I would tie the episode title in with the events that transpired on it, but I don't really see what the connection is. Are we to think of the woods as the dark woods of Luka's soul, through which he allows Bishop Cromwell -- but not Abby -- to traipse? Are they woods of grief and guilt in which the I-don't-vaccinate-my-kids mom will have to walk, the rest of her life, after her failure to immunize him results in her son's catching the measles that kill him? Are they woods of self-doubt, in which Benton finds himself when he realizes that he got into medical school due to Affirmative Action? Or are they the woods that keep flying into my head as if the show's writers were so many incompetent, butterfingered golfers?

Thy Will Be Done

Thy Will Be Done - Bishop Cromwell returns to the ER and continues harassing Luka about his lapsed Catholicism. Luka's so thoroughly distracted by the bishop's efforts that he completely forgets to pretend to care when Carter asks out his kind-of girlfriend.

Surrender

Surrender - Weaver gives in to her passion. Elizabeth gives in to the anxieties still lingering after her lawsuit. Benton gives in to Romano's job offer, even though it sounds too good to be true (and, therefore, is). And Noah Wyle, unfortunately, gives in to some terrible direction and bores us all to death with Carter's why-I'm-an-addict sob story.

Rock, Paper, Scissors

Rock, Paper, Scissors - Wing Chun'll take "Things With Which My Sensibilities Were Assaulted by the Non-Subtlety of This Week's ER," please! Well, not so much the paper. Maybe she got a few paper cuts. Anyway, Elizabeth chokes in a routine procedure, Weaver comes to terms with her feelings for Kim, and Mark has a new appreciation for the fragility of human life, and, hence, a new way of annoying Wing Chun.
