Lisa slowly walks the halls with Joseph, a.k.a. Mr. Regina. She tells him that they took Regina to get cleaned up: "Believe it or not, a shower can help." Joseph says that Regina did everything right: "She read that damn Expecting book every day." Lisa tells him that it's important Regina know that the early labour isn't her fault. They stop outside Regina's trauma room, where a doctor is lecturing to a group of students. Joseph asks what happened: "Did he die?...Did they find something that might help him?" Lisa explains that someone from Neonatology has to examine every premature baby born in the hospital. "So they might do something?" Joseph asks. Lisa asks him to wait outside, and heads in to investigate.
Inside the trauma room, an older male doctor is showing the students that Rex's thin skin makes thermoregulation impossible. The students nod. Lisa stands a few paces behind the lecturer, who's just moved on to Rex's unopened eyes when Lisa demands, "What are you doing?" The lecturer starts to say that they heard there was a micro preemie in the ER when Lisa snaps, "This isn't show and tell." The lecturer snips back, "No, this is a teaching hospital." He turns his back to Lisa, and returns to the subject of which of Rex's organs are fully formed, adding that with the thinness of Rex's skin, they might even be able to see his heart beating.
