Peter checks on Ben. The genetics doctor looks over the chart and says he'll stop by tomorrow, and Peter asks him a thinly veiled question about DNA testing, wondering "if there's anything that we could, you know, use down in the ER." The genetics doctor tells Peter to call his office and get the name of the supplier.
Lucy comforts Little Miss Vain Chicago 1999 about her skin and hair. Yeah, we get it. Quinn thanks her. Dave tells her she's "good. No, I mean, you're really good." Lucy snarks, "You're welcome, Dave." Kerry canes up to him and asks, "You wanted to see me?" Dave says no. Kerry says mildly, "Hmm. I heard you had a question about my leg." Ha! Dave stammers that he had a patient with a bad ankle, but someone must have misunderstood what he was asking, and Kerry says, "Ah, I see," while Dave continues not to make any kind of eye contact with her whatsoever. "Well, if you do ever want to know, you should -- just ask," Kerry tells him, and Dave says, "No problem. But it's really none of my business, right?" and Kerry says flatly, "No. No, it's not." She leaves him standing there stone busted. Um, Dave? BWA HA HA HAAAA!! ["Looks good on you, ass." -- Wing Chun]
Robert "Little Big Man" Romano bitches Mark out for breaking Mr. Perez's windpipe. Mark says it was an accident. Romano keeps at him. Mark demands to know what Romano wants from him. Romano suggests starting with a formal apology to Mr. Perez and his family, and Mark snaps, "Fine. Something else?" Romano points out that he didn't "bring this on," Mark did, and he'll do as much damage control as he can, but he can't "make any promises." Romano goes on to predict that the Perezes will "be coming at us with both barrels blazing, they're gonna be looking for a sacrificial lamb, and I have to tell you, right now, you are looking pretty woolly." Mark fumes. Haleh takes a call from Jeanie. Apparently, Carlos has improved; Haleh tells Jeanie that Kerry left already, and Jeanie wants to talk to Mark, who makes I'm-not-here motions with his hands, which Haleh naturally greets by handing him the phone. Heh. Cut to Jeanie's apartment; she apologizes for cutting out in the middle of her shift, and asks Mark to tell Kerry that she might come in a bit late the next day. Then she plays with Carlos. Have I mentioned that Carlos is the cutest goddamn infant I've ever seen? Oh, yes, so I did.
