Anyway, Eva says she didn't hurt the men who died, but she couldn't help them, either. "I'm 107 years old," she says, knowing it would have taken Carter a while to do the math. She doesn't know how why her aging process slowed while the others' were accelerated. Carter remembers his daughter and says she isn't "lucky" like Eva, so she'll die like the other men did if Eva doesn't help them figure out what's wrong with her. Eva asks how she can possibly help anyone when they're stuck in the bunker. "I'm not dead yet and neither are you!" Carter yells while Eva looks all tearful and sad; "we're not letting Zoe die." And really, after being alive for 107 years, you'd think Eva would be a slightly more optimistic person.
