Carter makes his way to Zoe and Lucas, who are still handing out the sunscreen. Zoe doesn't want to leave since Lucas is trailing in the polls by just two points. I just realized we haven't seen Lexi in a while. What a refreshing break! Carter tells Lucas he can score points in the polls and stay or points with Zoe's dad and get her out of there. Lucas carries Zoe out. I'm pretty sure he had a hand on her boob though, so he probably didn't score very many points after all.
Carter returns to GD, where the team (and Kylie) have been busy building a mini-sun-imploding missile and not evacuating. It's almost set to go, but Allison says they'll need two people to get it in position for launch. Those people will have to get fairly close to the mini-sun and will be dead if it doesn't work. I nominate Lexi and Kylie! But, of course, Carter volunteers himself. Zane says he should be the second man, since he built the module and knows it best. With that, Kylie, Allison, and Henry head out for evacuation. Allison stays behind to tell Carter she hopes he survives. Such chemistry, those two.
I think this is the first time we've actually seen Eureka being evacuated! They've been on the verge of doing it so many times, but this time, they've actually got the buses out and the residents are loading onto them. Allison is tending to Lexi, who says she wishes "someone would do something about the heat." Yeah, I'm sure that's something NO ONE ELSE has thought of or tried. Certainly not your brother, who's risking his life to do so at this very minute. Shut up, Lexi. Herrera takes advantage of the large crowd of people amassed outside the buses to start making campaign speeches. Fargo hits back with one of his own, calling out Herrera's "stale" campaign promises and saying Vincent's ideas are as fresh as the bread he bakes twice daily. Zoe says Lucas is the solution to the "half-baked science" and "overbaked bread" his opponents offer. When all three candidates start fighting with each other, Henry runs up and tells them to stop worrying about getting votes and start worrying about saving lives. Yeah, what's up with Zoe not being at all worried about the fact that her father is in deadly danger right now? With an angry "get your priorities straight," Henry walks off to various "thank you's" from the crowd. "That was beautiful!" Lexi cries, all choked up. Allison just stares at her with disgust. I think she even rolled her eyes.
