Sad music plays as Carter and Fargo pull up to the wedding. Fargo goes off to tell the guests the bad news while Carter gets to tell Allison. He's greeted outside the bridal tent by Jo, who scolds him for being late before asking why his face is all bruised up. He just brushes her aside.

He enters the tent and Allison turns to show off her wedding dress. But instead of compliments, Carter just shoves his hands in his pockets and says he'll always be there for her. That's when Allison realizes that something might be wrong, although she still doesn't care about all the bruises on Carter's face. Carter steps forward, and Allison asks him where Stark is. He doesn't answer, which is an answer in and of itself. And Salli Richardson-Whitfield really, really tries to pull it off but just can't do it, so it's probably for the best that we don't spend much time with her and her grief.

Well, I'm shocked. And sad. Stark was one of my favorite characters! I didn't see this coming! I thought the promos were lying! I don't think I'm going to like this show as much without him.
