Three hours into the S5 tour, Carter whines that it's boring. Apparently, all Tess has shown him thus far is a bunch of closed labs. He wants to see an open, working one. Tess says he's in luck, because there's one right behind her. "Don't bother. Johnson said he'd be traveling for a few days," says a random guy in the hallway who should really mind his own business. Tess says that'll work out perfectly: they can explore the lab without bothering Johnson. They walk in and Carter asks what the lab is developing. "APS. Alternate Propulsion Systems," Tess says. "Like rockets!" Carter says, trying to make friendly conversation. "Yeah, that would be the systems we already have," Tess snots back. I don't like her. But she does have a point that Carter's a moron, as he then proceeds to step on a large lit circular panel in the middle of the floor without asking if it's dangerous or leads to another dimension or anything like that. His voice goes all echo-y and he complains that his teeth feel weird, so that's got to be instant cancer at the very least. Tess awkwardly steps on the pad next to Carter to tell him to get down, and then they both step off. Tess trips over something on the ground and falls into Carter's arms so as to produce sexual tension.
