Fargo asks Carter to crack open the car, so he doesn't compromise evidence. He then pulls out a sandwich. It's an egg and cream cheese burrito... with horseradish. Carter complains about the rank odor it is giving off, but Fargo's happy to share. Carter turns him down and smashes open the car window to let the flood of water out.

At GD, Allison says that it's sad about Dr. Monroe, who she just got to know because of the baby shower. The police force speculates that it could have been someone on the grant list, since the car was perfectly sealed, so someone had to fill it. They've narrowed the suspects down to four, since everyone had alibis. Allison doesn't think that anyone on the GD staff would kill someone over grant money. Tess says she knows of two people who would. Draper and Bell, the other two harpies. She thinks that those two would eat their own young if it would further their careers. Fargo walks in and says that Draper did it. Allison chastises him for jumping to conclusions, but he says that Dr. Monroe's lungs were like sponges and she was the one working on the super-absorbency technology. Allison admits that the microfibers, if ingested, might cause this sort of death, but only might. Carter's off to talk to Draper, while Fargo is looking for microfibers.

Before Carter leaves, he asks if either Allison or Tess had the mimosas. By way of answering, Allison points to her very pregnant stomach. Tess says that she learned her lesson about drinking at a conference in Puerto Rico. Oh, those wild scientists. Is it like band camp? She says there's another asteroid event the following night, if he wants to stargaze again. She asks this in front of Allison, who suddenly has her interest piqued. He says that he has a birthing class with Allison. Then just walks off.

Tess tells Allison that she's confused because they went on a date and she thought they had fun, but now he's blowing her off. Allison is not the right person to ask in this scenario, but whatever. Tess says it was an almost date, but that she thinks she really likes him.
