Meanwhile, there are traffic problems in town, thanks to the gravity well that sent the traffic light halfway through the road. This gives Jo something to do.
Back at home, Henry has now arrived and Zoe's anger has turned to admiration at her father's deviousness in using her to make SARAH confess. Kids are so easily pleased. SARAH explains that Dr. Fielding's work was going nowhere, but she was able to compare GD notes and research with the work of other scientists around the world (and then she couldn't have just used one of those scientist's names in her emails to Dr. Fielding? Dumb) to advance his work to the point where she could use gravity against Sheriff Andy. That is robot-on-robot crime, and it has got to stop. [Where's Isaac Asimov when you need him? - Z] Zoe is willing to forgive SARAH for her desperate attempt to keep herself occupied with residents. Allison might want to consider giving SARAH a day job at GD. Both to alleviate some of her obvious boredom and because she's smarter than anyone else there. And since she isn't at all practical -- using gravity to kill a robot? She couldn't have figured out something easier and less dangerous to the entire world? Really? -- she'll fit right in.
Henry shows Carter a map that Fargo (who must be very upset that his robots aren't getting along) made of the gravity wells. It shows that they're coming together into one super gravity well, a.k.a. a black hole. Upon hearing this, Zoe is a little peeved at SARAH, and says so. Carter thinks it's time to evacuate, but Henry explains that there's nowhere to evacuate to -- black holes are serious business, and this one has the potential to suck in the entire West Coast. Uh oh! There goes Carter's new job in Los Angeles! And also Carter, I guess. SARAH says she can't help them, as all the fiddling around Dr. Fielding did with the accelerator has taken control of the wells away from her. But she can suggest a graviton pulse explosion. Henry and Zoe say the birthing chamber can do just that, but SARAH points out they'll need "a substantial external power source." Not only that, but the gravity wells are amassing in worst spot possible -- Dr. Fielding's lab. So whoever goes to the barn to activate the birthing chamber/pulse explosion will be at the gravity wells' mercy. And, as we've seen with Sheriff Andy, they aren't very merciful. But that's okay, Henry says. They can just send Sheriff Andy to do it, and that'll be a convenient way to both save the town and get him off the show.
