Brown House. Treat and Delia make it through the door, and he asks if he's told her how great she was this evening. Delia: "Only about five times." Treat: "Yeah, but only once since we got home." Hello, tears. He tells her to get upstairs for bed, and he'll come say goodnight. We get a close-up shot of him looking proudly up at her and grinning, and it makes me cry EVEN HARDER that this will be the last of those FOREVER.
Treat walks into his darkened kitchen, and there, sitting at the table, is Nina. She holds up his letter and says, "I don't think you need to read this after all." Oh, the drama! Commercials.
Treat asks what happened, and Nina says it just didn't feel right, or not right enough, anyway. She leaves out the part about how Dimples totally dumped her at the gate. Nina says she knows it was the best decision for everyone, although she's not sure Sam's seeing it that way. Damn, poor Sam. I always forget about him, and now he's had, what, like twelve dysfunctional daddies? Treat sits down next to her and says he's sorry. Nina apologizes for bothering him with this, but she just didn't know where else to go. Treat tells her this is exactly where she was supposed to go, and he'll go set up Ephram's room for her. Nina promises to have a game plan by tomorrow morning. Treat tells her she can stay as long as she needs to, by which he means FOREVER. Wait, do you think that word is becoming a theme or something?
Stephergie and Ephram have spent the night together at his house, and she's leaving this morning with his sweatshirt on. As long as it isn't that Brooklyn one that I've always coveted, she can take whatever she wants. Hint hint, BERLANTI. Bright comes around the corner as she's leaving and starts applauding, excited that this is the first unrecycled action he's had in this apartment all year. "Mazel tov! Learned me some Jewish last night." Heeeeee. Ephram: "Uh, it's Hebrew, and stop clapping, please." Aw, my favorite boys in a scene together, for the last time, EVER. Ephram quickly sets Bright straight that there was no action last night between him and Stephergie. Bright: "Couldn't close the deal, huh? That's weird, Little Miss Hot-n-Sassy, I would have expected more." Ephram says he didn't think it was the right time. Bright's like, "Oh, right, because Lord knows she's not hot enough with those legs, and the formalwear, and...high heels." Ephram: "When you start noticing the shoes? It makes me ask a lot of questions." Love it. Ephram immediately switches the subject to Amy, and if she got home all right last night, as wrecked as she was. Bright offhandedly says Hannah took her home or something. Ephram: "Should we call? Or something? Just to make sure?" Bright looks up from his cereal box, then recognition dawns on his face and he throws the box at Ephram. "Ah HA! That's why there was no 'it' with Stephanie. You danced with the devil last night. Fogged your brain. Clogged your drain." OH MY GOD. Ephram begs Bright not to rhyme, or clap. Bright wants to know what's up with him, and Ephram admits that there might have been some feelings last night, and he needs to think about that before he takes any action on the Stephergie tip. Bright tells him he's totally going to screw this up. Ephram: "I'm just saying! If I felt something, maybe she felt something too." Bright says she didn't, and that's his problem. "You think there's juice left in that box, but there isn't!" He reminds him that Stephergie's hot, totally into him, and brings no drama to the table. Yeah, but does she draw comparisons to a juice box? I think not. Bright helps him remember how he wrote all those postcards to her from Europe, and how Amy blew him off, and one dance at a Bat Mitzvah isn't going to change that. Ephram considers this and tells Bright he's right. Bright says he knows, as Ephram walks back into his room with the cereal. Bright: "Can I have that box back now, please? That's our last box."
