Operating room. Treat tells Colin to stay with him. He's nearly done, and then something starts beeping like crazy. A nurse says that Colin's blood flow is dropping fast. Treat: "It burst. Damn!" I feel like I'm watching an episode of ER, except it's good and I care. Treat keeps working, and tells Colin to hold on again. It's very tense. The way he's saying, "Come on, buddy," is both fabulous and sad.
Stringed Instruments Of Surgical Cliffhangers swell in the background as we see Treat walk from the operating room to the waiting room. The camera pans from Treat's stone-faced nothing expression around the room, where everyone is looking at him expectantly. They all stand up and wait for an answer. Pan back to Treat's face, which tells us absolutely nothing. Credits. DAMN YOU, BERLANTI!
