Halfway through. It's at this point that I wish again that this show was only 30 minutes long. It would really be better. Because now we've met the guy, she's realized that she likes him, hates him, likes him again, and now we've got another 20 minutes of her waffling about if he's the one or not. Probably another trip to Marina's, where she's all "I told you so," and then some random filler with Augie/Daphne/Vivian that serves no real purpose.
Shane signs autographs and explains to Bella about how he's a brand, and how he uses that to sell apparel. It works, just look at Cyrus. But being out-of-control wild guy is his image, even though he's grown up. Shane invites Bella to be his date for the Big Wave Oscars. Marketing man says they can be flirty when no one is looking, but Shane needs to appear available. He's got to sell the untamable beast attitude. Otto (marketing man) is quite pushy, but Shane calms Bella down. Then, of course, Otto walks in with the fish that Shane "caught" and his favorite sports drink. In the main hall, Cyrus is walking on Mini-Van's back.
Augie's editing pictures of Daphne when Vivian walks in talking about how she's going to take a shower. As I'm about to say "another one," Augie makes the same observation, saying she's been taking a lot of them lately. She retorts that she really likes taking showers. There's a whole conversation about there not being enough water, etc. I just don't care about the sexual frustration of Augie at all. Thankfully Cyrus walks in, wearing a different shirt, talking about the things he does for love. And he feels dirty and needs to take a shower. Too bad Viv's in there. There's something going on with her and the new showerhead. Um, okay. Cue Viv moaning from the bathroom.
Daphne's with Bella talking about Shane's "act" and lip plumper (she thinks these two things are exactly alike). Bella's looking through the dresses that Shane's sponsor has sent over. Suddenly, Daphne has invited Bella and Shane to dinner -- Marty's cooking -- but they're having it at Bella's apartment because the show is too cheap to make a set for Daphne's place. Which brings me to the other burning question I have, weren't Daphne and Marty supposed to get married like a week after the first episode? I'm so confused.
Cyrus is rubbing Mini-Van's shoulders at the bar, they are both gussied up for the Wave of the Year awards. Bar hostess girl walks over, and they make a date for her lesson on Sunday. Mini Van will help him out, since the girl is smoking. But it will involve a lot more massaging.
