Back at the bar, Cyrus is talking to bar hostess girl. He says he's ready for their lesson on Sunday. She doesn't need it, someone else is teaching her, a Hawaiian guy. It's Mini-Van. Hawaiian guy code says best guy wins when the girl is hot. Makes sense. Though I feel a smidge bad that Cyrus just can't catch a break. He's easily one of the most likable characters on the show. Pointless, but likable.
Then at Bella's, Shane, Marty and Daphne are having a cozy dinner, and ready to dive into Marty's special dessert. Shane doesn't want to eat dessert, because it might mess up his abs. He defers from drinking coffee because he's getting his teeth whitened. Bella finds this hysterical. He even bails on dinner early because he's got an early meeting. Bella's sad about losing her free spirit. But she makes a surf date with him.
Next door, Augie and Vivian lay in bed reading and surfing the internet. He tries to make a move on her. She thinks he could be thinking about the girls on his computer, he comes back with those being his private thoughts. They make up and make out.
The next day at the beach, Shane's standing on the beach talking about the Heisenberg principle, which he basically sums up as no life should be too closely examined. Meaning that he turned down the job. He's going to head back down to El Salvador to reconnect with his surfing. She tells him when he's done regrouping to call her. They share a big parting kiss on the beach.
She heads back to her journal at home and puts a question mark next to his name. Cyrus and Viv walk in, they are going to the beach. Augie put the showerhead back in. Bella says that Shane's gone south of the border, but he's still in play. And they all walk down to the beach together. Credits, and a commercial for the band who sings the terrible theme song.
