Pan up on some big mansion. The gang pulls up as Derek reminds them to split up and look for information. Man, Lan looks fantastic. Slammin' outfit. Derek, in the most conspicuous manner possible, starts filming himself explaining why they are there for the website, including a little peek at how "hot" Chloe looks. Okay, she's hot. But what about Lan? Oh, she's checking out some guy dressed all in white, descending the stairs. Jason explains that the all-in-white guy is "Boomer Truman," who has become the label's bestseller since XT died. Boomer checks Lan out and smiles, and Lan starts following him down the hall.

After an overhead shot of a bunch of extras dancing, we see Chloe down a glass of champagne. Derek spots Alejandro Wexler across the room and hands the camera to Chloe so that he can interview Wexler. He runs up and introduces himself to Wexler, again, being sure to be as conspicuous as possible. If he really wanted to gather information, why wouldn't he just engage in conversation, or even better, just listen in on Wexler's group of friends? He's such a dork, and a bad investigator to boot. Derek keeps bugging him about the status of XT's body, and Wexler jacks him up, saying that XT was like his son, and he offers to introduce Derek to "Mr. Death and Mr. Dismemberment," his bodyguards. Then he lets Derek go and tells him to get a drink. What? Like he wouldn't kick him out of the party, now that he knows that Derek is not just a guest. Whatever.
