Luckily, somebody hasn't forgotten Tim Riggins's stupidity. Landry catches up with Tim in the hallway and asks when he wants to get together to work on his report. Tim says he hasn't read the book yet and walks off. Landry calls after him, "What do you want me to do, read the book to you myself?" Cut to Landry, reading Steinbeck to Tim as he lifts in the weight room. This is truly above and beyond. Landry asks Tim to repeat back what he just read. Tim replies that it was something about a river. Landry asks what it looked like. "It's real pretty, Landry." Landry laughs and continues on. Off to the side, one of the assistant coaches asks Taylor what Riggins is doing. "Studyin'," he says unhappily.

Henry is cleaning out the gutters when Matt walks up. He tells his son that Grandma is driving him crazy so he had to get out of the house. Right, buster. Now try dealing with all that and being sixteen effing years old. Just then, the smoke alarm inside goes off, and smoke flows out a window. Matt and Henry run inside and find a paper towel on fire on the stove. Henry immediately starts screaming at his mother, saying that he's told her a million times to not use the stove. She looks confused and totally out of it, but still he keeps yelling. Matt steps in, kneels in front of his grandmother, and tells her that everything is okay, that Henry is just yelling because they were scared. Henry storms out.

Bureaucratic office. A lady tells Matt and Henry about Medicare regulations. It turns out that home care won't be covered unless she is diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Matt's like, okay, let's get it diagnosed. For some reason, this option is dropped as soon as it is mentioned. His dad asks about a home that will be covered by his veteran's benefits. Matt looks at him slackjawed. The lady says that there are homes in the area, but that Grandma is Matt's legal guardian, so she can't go in a home. It's unclear why the government hasn't yet caught on that her being Matt's legal guardian in the current situation isn't quite kosher either. The lady tells the Saracen men about a third option, that Henry could get out of his service. Matt loves this idea, but Henry snaps at his son that it isn't going to happen and he won't discuss it. "We all need to make sacrifices."
