She doesn't get a heartfelt monologue though, because a groggy Walter wakes up and sits up in his chair. They scramble to their feet and Walter, much more alert than when he was freed from the amber, looks from one agent to the next, before saying, "I think that's mine, young man," and Simon happily hands over the little blueprint hologram thing. He introduces himself -- "Simon Foster" -- and Etta doesn't do likewise, and the continued name concealment isn't conspicuous at all, nope. Walter asks what year it is and I bet Simon was disappointed that Walter didn't ask "Where am I?" because then he could have said, "A better question would be when are you." I mean, there are only so many opportunities to say something like that. Walter asks if the Observers are still here and the answer doesn't make him smile.

Meanwhile, loyalists are swarming all over the parking garage, easily tracking three sets of footprints in the dust of the abandoned facility. They're led by an Observer -- it looks like the one who gave Rick trouble in the club, but they all look the same to me. (Am I allowed to say that?) Anyway, the Observer tells them to ready their weapons. "Shoot first. I'll read them later," he says.

After a commercial break, the loyalists have cleared the twelfth floor and are on their way to the thirteenth, while Walter examines his Observer-obliteration blueprints or whatever they are. Simon asks if he can build it, but Walter doesn't answer.

Instead, he starts talking about they're not all bad, which I guess makes him a little less Observer-racist than I am. He says one of them, named September, even tried to help them. "What happened to him was... well, unexpected," says Walter, who then proceeds to not tell us what happened to September. Anyway, he explains that September told him that in the year 2609 AD, the Observers finally ruined the planet -- poisoning the air and water and when it was fundamentally uninhabitable, they traveled back through time. Kinda like Terra Nova, but on a good show, is that it? And then the Observers took the planet from the hair-covered skinbags we know as humans.

So to answer your question, Simon, yes, he can build it. He says it will take some time and Etta says it would be easier if he didn't have to do it alone, right? "If you had your team with you to help you?" She reminds him that he was trapped in amber with them and asks if he remembers where that was.
