Chuck appears, having resumed his exact same outfit -- including purple cravat -- once he taped himself boning the hos with an orchid and then put their bodies in the yacht's bathtub with some lye. He kisses Serena on the cheek with a mighty affection, a mighty kindness, and it's nice.
Serena: "Chuck, whence this sunny demeanor? Where is your dour Hamlet face? Are you high?"
Chuck: "Yes, but that's not why I'm smiling."
Serena: "Because you look less like a creepy Cheshire Cat at this time."
Chuck: "It's not a substance, it's a state of mind. A Word."
Serena: "A dirty one?"
Serena: "Yes, it's a dirty word?"
Nate: "Here it comes..."
Chuck: "The word is Yes."
Nate: "HA! He gets me with that every time. I am a simple soul."
Team Blonde: "What a radical change in philosophy! You used to be so ascetic and self-disciplined."
Chuck: "The Power of Now. The world is my Vision Board. California is a cult."
Team Blonde: "That's scary because we're both so cult-susceptible. Please tell us more."
Chuck: "I will illustrate it through logic. Serena, you've been working all summer as a paltry assistant, driving golf-carts and fetching coffee. Wouldn't you prefer to have a job for which you are in no way qualified, like usual?"
Chuck: "That's the magic word!"
Serena: "I wrote a thoughtful comparison of our script to the novel that will revolutionize the way films are produced, but never heard back from my micromanaging boy-boss, so I just let my promise to Producer Jane slide, because I can't stand the idea of not getting male approval. And that was it for my ambition. You know what they say about girls who fulfill their obligations."
Chuck: "Say Yes to stepping on his balls and firming up a relationship with Producer Jane. He sucks anyway."
ibid., verbatim: "...Go say the Yes you never said."
Serena: "Your philosophy is radicalizing me from within."
ibid., verbatim: "Marshall be Damned!"
ibid., literally seconds later: "...Who wants to go with me to make sure I actually go through with it?"
The Point: Partially but not entirely lost.
Serena: "I know what you're going to say!"
