...while sometimes we lose ourselves in the moment. As she and Derek are finally doing. With gusto.
Owen is still trying to blow his problems away on the vent, but the door squeaks and he turns to see Cristina walk in and lean against the door. He looks away from her and she's quiet for a moment before she can suck up all of her pride and courage to ask him not to hate her. He doesn't react, and she pleads, "I'm begging you." It's rather powerful since we know how against the idea of begging she really is, but she is just laid bare here. He finally turns around and looks at her, and she makes her way slowly over until she is standing in front of him, and tentatively puts a hand on his chest. He manages to put a hand on her arm, and the two look at each other, with so many feelings obviously still between them both in addition to the anger and hurt. Mere concludes that sometimes all we need to do to ease the pain is call a truce. I have no idea if this momentary truce will even last until next week, but it's a relief to have it at least for a moment.
