The last shot is of Cullen supervising the cut crew as two men ride up on horseback. Elam casts a worried look at Cullen, whose hand hovers near his Griswold. Ominous drums play out the scene.
So that's the first episode. Slow, overly talky. It felt like it started at the wrong point in the story, somehow. Stay tuned for the next recap to see if the train picks up steam or jumps the tracks entirely.
