Karen's expression changes from angry to hurt and perhaps humiliated. Maybe she realizes that phrase has become nearly meaningless when uttered by Ted to a woman in whom he's interested. Her voice drops. "I knew this was a mistake." She stands and grabs her coat from the foot of the bed. "That's it. It's over." She leaves Ted sitting alone on his bed, his mouth hanging open and we flash forward to...

Dowisetrepla: Ted tells Marshall and Lily, "And that's it. She left." Barney comes back to the room and sighs. "What a story. So brave of you to share that." But that's not the only funny part.
