In all seriousness, Robin tells Marshall this is a great story and she asks him to appear on her show. Ted is jealous. He wants to be on the show, but Robin says no one wants to see a guy come on her show and play with dolls. Ted points out that that's not what he was doing (he totally was), and that Robin just had a guy on her show playing with dolls. In flashback, we see Robin interviewing a really creepy guy, Simon (Collin Christopher) who collects porcelain dolls. While on the air, he hollers at one of them for having an affair with G.I. Joe. "What were you thinking? What if you had gotten pregnant?" Ted can't believe the guy is now invited back for a follow up interview. Robin's only doing that at the behest of the FBI, so they can search the guy's house. Robin says the story has everything and asks Marshall to do the interview for her sake, as a friend. Marshall asks her to promise to present it in a way that doesn't make a joke out of the fact that he got mugged by a monkey. Everyone cracks up, again.
Ted's Apartment: Barney bursts in and announces he's just been mugged, but he's just reenacting how the scam worked (or didn't) with this pretty young brunette at the bar, Lisa (writer, producer, actor Celeste Thorson). In the flashback, Barney tells Lisa how he just wants to forget being mugged and move on with his life. She's sympathetic, but just as he starts to make a connection, Sarah (the girl from the open) comes up behind him and starts calling him Neil, which totally pulls me out of the scene, because that is NPH's name, after all. Barney turns to tell Sarah his name isn't Neil and chokes when he realizes who he's dealing with. Lisa wants to know why Sarah is calling him Neil. Sarah explains to her that he is Neil Armstrong. Lisa says, "The cyclist?" I'm biting my tongue so as not to derail the weecap, trust me. Sarah says she thought Neil-Barney was off on a shuttle mission. Lisa thought he just got mugged. Barney concocts a story about being mugged on his way to the launch pad. The mugger took his space shuttle keys, of course, and hey, who wants to have a three-way? In the flashback the girls agree.
