Welcome to McGinty's Irish Pub! Winston and Eddie are hanging out eating peanuts when Kendrick Taylor walks in. He's a flashy black man who, Eddie exposits, has various MMA and Olympic titles. Also, his name sounds like "Drederick Tatum", the Mike Tyson character from The Simpsons. Chance walks over to Kendrick's table and knocks drinks over until it's fightin' time.
Chance, Kendrick and a crowd of about 30 people go out to the parking lot. Eddie calls Kendrick a wrecking machine and asks, "You guys are picking a fight with him and I'm an idiot?" Winston doesn't look worried, and the fight begins. Kendrick gets a shot in on Chance's chin (which, to be fair, is probably hard to miss. That thing's huge!) but Chance soon knocks Kendrick out.. In a surprisingly short time, Kendrick's on the floor. And the crowd starts wondering who Chance is. And they learn that it's Grant Johnson, Chance's alias. Lying on the ground, Kendrick makes eye contact with Chance.
Back at The Firm, Winston explains to Eddie that Kendrick needed a liquor license so he could open a wine bar. Complicated! Guerrero is also there, and he's in charge of researching Chance's opponents. Eddie will be involved with the strategizing, although he's skeptical about Chance winning.
Chance lies on the couch. As he flashes back to getting hit in the face, we get the sound of tinnitus. Unless that's just me. I hope not. His phone vibrates, bringing him out of his reverie. He strolls in to announce that he got the call. "Pack a bag. We're going to Brussels." What's that from? Oh, I know! It's Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Frylock says "Pack a bag. We're going to Memphis." I guess there's a chance it's not on purpose.
Six hours before the first fight (according to the caption), Winston and Chance stroll into a nice hotel. They go through a gambling room into the back hallways and arrive at the arena. Winston asks about the one shot Chance took to the chin and asks how he took a hard hit in a staged fight. Hey, man, it happens. Maybe Kendrick, a trained fighter, is not used to pulling his punches.
Fighting! We're back in that fight from the beginning of the episode, which is supposed to be six hours away. There's that punch to the top of the head! Chance falls! The camera gets wacky! The opening credits run!
Four hours before the first fight (or two hours after the last scene), Guerrero is online researching the weaknesses of Emil Lodan, Chance's first opponent. I assume he's running the dude's credit, and will tell Chance that it causes him great stress and his Trapezius muscles are all knotted to hell. One stiff jab in the nerve center and his whole back will freeze up like iron! Winston reminds Guerrero to "talk to Frank". He left word, which is not good enough for Winston. Guerrero tells Eddie that Frank is "Step 3."
