Jamaal and Fuzz are at a club. Fuzz says he likes that place while checking out some chick's ass. Jamaal says he has another call to make, and tells Fuzz to stay with him. The two men walk towards the back. Karen walks in the front door, flashing her badge. She makes her way through the crowds. Jamaal talks to someone (Naomi?) on a payphone, asking where Karen is, and says they can't wait much longer. Jamaal hangs up and tells Fuzz that Karen isn't going to show. They walk into another part of the club. Jamaal spots Konner coming toward them and turns and runs the other way. Has Gary Cole ever played a serial killer? Because he totally could. He's creepy. Oh, I just looked it up and one of his first major roles was as Captain Jeffrey McDonald in Fatal Vision. I have got to see that now. Karen walks through the club and spots Konner. She follows him.
Jamaal and Fuzz run out a door that leads to the roof. Konner follows. Karen is not far behind him. Up on the roof, Konner has his gun trained on Jamaal and Fuzz. Jamaal begs him not to do this. Konner says that they're on a roof, and that if someone falls, no one will see it, so it could happen to anyone. Konner orders them to stand up on the wall. Fuzz says he doesn't want to, and Konner shoots him in the thigh. In the recaplet, I misidentified that as his shoulder. Sorry. It was dark. Fuzz falls to the ground. Jamaal tries to help him. Konner asks who killed O'Hara. Karen shows up, gun drawn, and tells Konner to drop his weapon. Konner stares at her. Karen says they are in her custody now. Konner isn't interested. Karen makes her way toward the fugitives while keeping her gun on Konner the whole time. Konner stares at her with his Manson Lamps and then turns his gun on Karen. She keeps her gun on him, and they have a standoff. Konner says he didn't want it to be like this. Karen says that if he kills the fugitives, he'll have to kill her too. Konner considers this for a while, and then pulls his gun back. He says he thinks Karen means that, as he lays his gun down on the ground. Tell him to kick it over to you, Karen! Karen keeps her gun on Konner, who says that they had better get a tourniquet on Fuzz's leg. Karen doesn't turn her head, but asks Jamaal if he has a belt. Jamaal does, and starts taking it off. Karen walks over and (no!) tucks her gun into her waistband. Okay, am I really supposed to believe that Karen would not only leave Konner's gun lying inches away from him, but also that she would put her own gun away, and take her eyes off Konner? No! She would have taken his gun and cuffed him, tossed Jamaal her cell phone and had him call 911, and then waited it out. Once the paramedics arrived, she could take Jamaal and Konner into custody. Ugh. Anyway, to the surprise of absolutely no one, when Karen looks up, Konner is gone. At least he didn't shoot all three of them before he left. Because he totally could have.
