Charlotte, lucid for a moment, tells them to go on without her, but Daniel refuses to leave her behind. There's yet another flash. When it concludes, Locke orders everyone to go, now. Charlotte's still with it, and tells Daniel that Locke is right. She then groans and leaves the present, and happily adds, "Oh, turn it up. I love Geronimo Jackson." When Juliet prompts him for a decision, Dan says he'll stay with Charlotte and they should go. Sawyer asks Locke if -- since they don't know when they are -- how do they know the Orchid will still be around. Locke has no clue. Back again, Charlotte says, "Look for the well. You'll find it at the well."

Sawyer looks at Charlotte with pity and fear. Softly, he says, "Yeah. We'll be sure to do that." What are the odds that we would end up in the same time as this thing," which is the magic incantation for yet another flash. They're not only sentient -- they don't like a smartass, and so we FLASH in some direction, I assume way back, to a time when there was no Orchid. I'm pretty sure Sawyer buys my theory, because he turns to Juliet and says, "You just had to say something." Locke looks around, and seeming to catch sight of something he couldn't have possibly seen on account of all the JUNGLE around, runs through the thicket until he finds...the well. Miles wonders aloud how Charlotte knew it was there and we jump to...
