Now they're going to go through with the ceremony, and the women get first pick. Samantha picks Mike and he accepts. Ben says that he wants to switch back to Brandee, and she actually declines. She says that everyone else is making a deeper connection and she and Ben are stuck in the friend zone.

Jess and Skip are up next. Jess says that she's not going to tear up another couple, so she's going to put herself in the unmatched zone. Skip obviously picks Theresa and she accepts. Erica is up next, alone, because Derek is gone. She picks Steele, who accepts. Heather is up next, and she's shocked that she's not going home. She chooses Miles, who accepts. Wouldn't it be awesome if Brandee chose Jess instead of Ben? I wish she would. Anyway, I guess she doesn't get to pick? She goes to the unmatched area.

Now I think they are just making up rules. Ben gets to make a choice: he can choose Jess, or Brandee, or all three of them can go home. Ben apologizes to Brandee if he didn't make her feel special, and Brandee doesn't know if that makes a difference. But when he asks her to stick it out with her, she accepts. Because otherwise she goes home. I think that's about as nice as Ben gets. I hope Brandee doesn't think he's capable of more, because I don't think he is.

Thus Jess is going home. We could have saved ourselves a lot of time if they had just let Jess quit once we found out that Derek was eliminated. I guess we wouldn't have had the Ben/Brandee mishegoss, but I wanted Ben to squirm even more. He's a lizard.
