Wheels: "Go inside Chan's and tell Jerry that I am dying of one of my many ailments."
Degenerates: "We don't understand simple instructions!"
Wheels: "Then go in there and mangle the whole situation. What's important is that we get Jerry out of there before he gets so far in that we end up dead in the same shallow grave as him."
They do. It takes forever and it's kinda humiliating to watch, but they save him. For today.
THE MYSTERY OF JO & ESCALANTE AS A THING
Jo & Escalante discuss horses and their care. It still makes zero sense why she is with him. How old is she, like a hundred? She is so fucking pretty. I hope he knows how lucky he is. I hope we find out what makes her so damaged that she would even bother to be in the same room with that prick.
The more people talk about what a great horse GUM is, the more likely it seems that the Jigsaw Killer is going to kidnap Walter and put him in a situation where he has to kill the horse with his bare hands or something.
MORE PORKY PIG GOING BONKERS
The gist, as he talks to himself from an angel-dusty jump-cutted variety of angles meant to imply a mental breakdown, is that he needs Rosie to take a fall so that his two clients, Leon and Ronnie, can maybe get back to work and stop being anorexic and drunk respectively. Maybe he considers murdering her or injuring her? I don't know. He's really annoying to watch so I can't say I paid much attention. I used to really like Richard Kind, but this is some tough slog right here, this show.
THE OLD MAN & THE DEAD HORSE
The Old Man pets GUM while talking to the absent Delphi. As usual, it is the most beautiful part of the show.
"No mistakin', Delphi. This is your son. You know, I hope to God you can... You can see him, or hear me, or feel... Anyways, he's your son. God, I hope you know that. I can barely stand to look at him, day after day, because he reminds me so much of you. And it breaks my heart, because he runs like you, he moves like you, and he's got this big heart... Just like you had. I don't think I could lose two of you. I couldn't bear it. I hope you know that, okay?"
Oh, Walter. You gorgeous mess.
Degenerates: "I feel like maybe Jerry is going to run away again and go play poker some more. Let us discuss the finer points of addiction and rehabilitation and say the F word a lot."
Jerry: "Hey, guys. Thanks for pulling me out. I had no real exit strategy."
