Thayer and Mads arrive to pick up Char, who is forlorn and suspicious that Derek has abandoned her to tend to some shady business with Alec. The Rybak kids urge Char to move on because Derek is a loser. Char doesn't believe them. Why? Because "he's cute!" Mads isn't swayed, but Thayer brings up how Alec knew about his car and mentions the presumed break-in to his apartment. He uses the word "we," which Char picks up on, but Thayer plays it off. As Char stands up, she trips on her high heels and almost falls into Thayer. They have a lingering, intense look that's kind of hot, frankly. Seeing a little spark in her eyes, Thayer gives off a mischievous look as she walks away.

Back at the cabin, Ethan is giving Emma her halftime pep talk. Emma is dispirited. She knows she won't stand a chance against Sutton and plans to take the first bus back to Vegas. Ethan again offers to come with her, but she's utterly crushed by Sutton's accusations. She tells him over, asking, "How do you not get that?" She says he has a family and a job. He says that he doesn't care about any of those things and yells, "I love you!" But it's too late. As much as he begs, protests, and cups that special place between her face and her neck, she has made up her mind. She walks out on him.

A while later, Emma sits at the bus stop and looks at the bus she's supposed to take home. She calls Little Orphan Lexie to catch her up on the melee (including that preview-ready line "Hell hath no fury like a twin scorned") and tell her she is coming back to Vegas. Little Orphan Lexie is surprised after the experience she had with Sutton. Says Emma, "It was all silly dream." Counters Little Orphan Lexie, "Only if you run away from it." She encourages Emma to stand up to the "force of nature" known as Sutton because what Emma's looking for is in Phoenix, not Vegas.

Country club. Happy little hobo Justin is blown away by the party as Char compliments Laurel's bracelet. Mads spots Nisha enter the party and heads over to boot her out post-haste. She calls Nisha a party crasher, but Nisha says Sutton called her yesterday and invited her to come so they could make peace. Mads is surprised, which Nisha takes as a sign that she's on the outs.
