PPD. Kristin is frantic as she arrives with Ted and Laurel. She says Sutton was at home the night before, after her supposed study date with Mads fell through. Alec explains Mads lying the night before, but Kristin says she brought "Sutton" a snack at 9 PM Alec knows what time Ethan and Sutton were pulled over (just before 9 PM), and the stories don't jive. Laurel also says she saw Sutton around that time, but Ted is prepared to believe the worst. "Sutton" emerges from her interrogation, and Kristin and Laurel rush to hug her while Alec trash-talks Ethan with Ted.

School. Mads can't believe her friend was arrested. She senses Ryan's conspicuous silence and wonders what he thinks. He points out what pretty much everyone knows: Sutton is a lying, manipulative wench who is not to be trusted.

Whitehorse ranch. Ethan has a good laugh at Sutton's expense when she claims she has been around horses and gets her finger nearly bitten off. Ethan teaches Sutton about the Tao of equines or some such, and they come really close to having a bonding moment when Sutton gets selfish again and suggested they go out on the town. Ethan has to remind that he's wanted for murder.

PPD. Alec watches "Sutton's" interrogation and immediately spots her awkward body language and hesitation. It's as if she wasn't even there during Ethan and Derek's altercation. He quickly intuits that Dan may have prepped "Sutton" for her interrogation in the moments before the detective arrived. He tells Dan to find Ethan or suffer the consequences.

That night, Ethan tells Ben he was set up, but Ben is highly skeptical. Sutton emerges from the shower, in ranch-appropriate clothes. Ben angrily tells her to put them back and huffs away. Ethan explains that they were his mothers. She left the family when he was 13. Sutton wonders how she never knew that information. Ethan: "You never asked."
