Ted tells Alec to take a hike. Before he does, Alec reminds Ted (for the 98th time) about all the ass-covering and mess cleaning he's done for him. Ted is done with the emotional blackmail and the superiority complex. He says all that "help" just blew up in Ted's face and Alec screwed him over the minute he let Rebeccannie back into their lives. Alec says, by his count, the glass is still half-full: "Kristin still doesn't know half the secret." He leaves Ted to ponder that.
Somehow, Ethan manages to drive up just as Rebeccannie is exiting the club. I'm pretty sure that was a violation of the space-time continuum, but whatever. Rebeccannie drives off, and Thayer rushes out to find out what Ethan discovered. Mads follows soon after, on the arm of Ryan, who seems to be there solely to be excused. Except he only goes about four steps away, so when Ethan pulls an 8.5x11 printout of the image, he could easily have seen it. Whatevs... So what is this mysterious image? It's the pic Alec was sent on his phone -- the one of him holding the tire iron over Derek just moments before Derek was murdered with said tire iron. But why does Rebeccannie have it?
The next morning, Ethan shows the picture to Dan and Theresa. She says there's plenty of room for doubt. The photo only proves that Alec was at the scene of the crime. Moreover, it was probably obtained illegally, making it inadmissible. Since they don't have the murder weapon in hand, the case could fall apart if they move forward too quickly. Sutton drives up and checks out the photo. Ethan is frustrated at what he thinks is a dead-end. Theresa insists this lead could get them somewhere, but first they need a witness to step forward.
They head inside, and Emma can't help asking Ethan, "So you and Sutton? You found this?" Ethan insists the only reason he did any of it was to help Emma finally have a family and to hopefully get a second chance with her. Emma thinks they'll never escape Sutton. He has no good response to that, except to question her vocabulary. She tells him they're done.
Rybak house. Alec gives the kids one last chance to "speak now or forever hold their peace." Mads mentions there's surely no peace between Ted and Kristin. Alec insists that Rebeccannie's relationship with Ted is in the deep, dark past. "If I don't have an issue with it, I don't think you should either." He adds, "I'm a huge creep. I mean HUGE." (Yeah, he didn't say that.) The kids promise they have no issues, then give him huge fake smiles as he heads off to prep for the ceremony. Once he's gone, Mads freaks out about all the secrets in the house. Thayer to hold on because they have to see if through.
