Harry: "How is this always about you?"
Joss: "You want I should text her? On a smartphone?"
Harry: "No, I purposely scheduled this so I'd be off to work, once again."
Joss: "I'm just gonna text her for you. Rest a while, what, you're gonna carry the world all day? Siddown, have a knish. Take a load off."
DOMINIC, WITHOUT PRELUDE
Savi: "Last night was a mistake."
Dominic: "Hey, hi to you too."
Savi: "I just wanna be clear."
Dominic: "I mean, I didn't know I was going to be out all day. I agree we should talk."
Savi: "Like adults? Fuck that. Just pretend it never happened."
A DATE WITH SAM
Sam: "It's so great being so young and having your whole life to look forward to. But now that my dad's dead, I'm looking forward to going back to Brown. Where I go to college."
Karen: "That's a safe subject. What do you study?"
Sam: "Economics. Rich white guys do that, so we can stay on top. But lately it seems empty and void of purpose. Also my roommate smokes cloves. Because I live in the dorms. Because I am a CHILD."
Karen: "I do not miss being twenty. Although I do miss fucking twenty-year-old guys."
Sam: "So you've noticed that I have turned my unnerving sexiness up to about a twelve."
Karen: "Not on the record, no."
Sam: "Hey look, it's a baseball trophy from that boring story you told me."
Karen: "Right here on our date, huh?"
Sam: "Anything I can do to make this crazy weird."
Karen: "You're doing great at that, my friend."
Eventually the conversation peters out because they have literally nothing to say to each other, and he's shooting sex rays everywhere, so before you know it he's knocked a beverage in her lap -- he's a little awkward, due to his body not being done growing -- and they laugh and giggle and chuckle and chortle and the rest of the patio diners are like, "That kid is way too hot. She needs to watch her ass. Get the hell out of there."
She does, but slowly, and with lingering embraces. Sam keeps it dialed way up. Perhaps that's where his dial is stuck. In which case I weep not only for Karen Kim, but for all the ladies, in all the places.
Right before her surprise visitor, Savi notes a particular recurring appointment on her calendar: SWH. She doesn't explain this until the end of the episode, but it stands for "Sex With Harry" and we're meant to -- in retrospect -- understand that this is the mysterious answer to Karen's dumbass question: She cheated on her husband because she hates having sex with her husband because she hates her husband but also because she hates this elusive baby and all the hateful sex it is making her have with her husband she hates.
