And a Geek Shall Inherit The Earth: A Q&A With Community's Danny Pudi
TWoP: Troy and Abed living together? That's going to inspire a ton of new fan-fic.
Pudi: That's the cool thing about the fans -- they are very passionate about it. They know the show, they know the episode names and they're always looking for what we're doing in the background of scenes. Like, they're waiting for Abed to deliver another baby in the background. It's such a cool thing to be part of a show where we get to collaborate so much and it's a cooperative experience for everyone -- the fans, us in the cast, everyone. We're all part of this strange little group at Greendale.
TWoP: And finally, speaking of both the fans and Troy and Abed, it's our pleasure to inform you that, after a record-breaking 26 million votes were cast this summer, Troy and Abed won the 2011 Tubey Award for Best Non-Romantic Relationship, while Abed won the Tubey for Most Likable Geek and Community itself won for Best Comedy and Most Underrated Show.
Pudi: My fist is in the air. Thank you guys so much. Judging by the amount of votes, that's a pretty good indicator that people are watching and paying attention to our show. And that's always a good reminder that we're not just doing these bits for Chevy Chase's archives.
