MONDO EXTRAS
Cougar, Cougar, Burning Bright
Outside a convenience store, Bobby has just bought Travis a bunch of soda and potato chips, and they sit to eat their junk food. The conversation turns to Jules, and Travis says that he wishes she didn't just say whatever popped into her mind. Cut to outside the club, where Jules tells the bouncer, "You are soooo black! It looks good on you!" He agrees, and lets her and Laurie in.
Inside, Jules has her arms folded because she's cold and because she missed her 20s, so she has no idea how to act in a club. "Say something judgmental," offers Laurie. "It always loosens you up." Jules instantly obliges, as if she's been holding it in for hours: "You can't wear fake nails on only one hand, you look like a cheap whore." Not to say Jules hit the nail on the head, but Laurie only had four nails left, and she put them on her smoking hand. You make the call. As Laurie gets them a drink, Jules sees Barb on the prowl, and is embarrassed enough to turn to leave, spilling a drink all over a cute young guy. A little bit later, they're talking about college; she always wanted to study in London like him, but then she started "thinking with [her] cootchie-cootch." If you think that's forward of her, she follows it up with, "You are hot as balls!" She apologizes -- she's on her second drink. As the guy goes to get her a water, two other young guys come in, and one recognizes Jules as a classmate of his mom's. She rolls her eyes and takes that as a signal to finally leave.
