MONDO EXTRAS

Back in her bed she calls her dad and leaves a lot of messages that aren't going to be returned. Then she gets a call from Mrs. H because the older guy she half-assed acknowledged before ran someone over with his car. The someone in question? George. He's dislocated his shoulder and she pops it back in, not at all nicely, and then he passes out from the morphine. A young girl named Rosie comes in with a Flip camera to record "the news" about her indirectly maiming the town golden boy. Rosie loves New York, mostly thanks to Sex and the City DVDs. Oh, and Brick is back in town and he's pissed off that she nearly killed two people in the course of a day. Brick wants to contest the will, as soon as George returns to consciousness. Brick doesn't take kind to outsiders, and threatens her in a not so friendly way at all.

She leaves and goes to a convenience store to get wine (it comes in box form) from Mabel (the "chubby" girl with the blotchy skin from before). She has melasma, which means that she's pregnant. Mabel's in a little bit of denial, but Zoe says that she'll see Mabel on the DL without telling Mabel's overbearing mother. And before Zoe can retreat to the comfort of her boxed wine, Lemon comes in (still looking like a real-life Strawberry Shortcake character), spouting off that Zoe ruined her imminent engagement party because her intended (George) has been disfigured (i.e., a couple of scratches) due to the accident.

After getting yelled at, she walks back home, drinking her boxed wine along the way. Which, again, if she had a car she could have just chugged it from the comfort of her bed. She feels sorry for herself as she kind of liked George, but he was engaged. Not because a mean old doctor threatened to murder her in her sleep or anything. She sits on the side of the road (apparently over the whole alligator scare) when Wade drives up. The two of them fake fight/flirt and then end up making out in his car, and hits the car horn (which plays "Dixie) with her drunk ass, before getting out of the car. She decides this is rock bottom. Until she gets home and sees that her mother is standing there. Did her mother rent a car? How'd she get there so quickly?
