Sands comes in to see what's up. It's awkward, but Mike doesn't notice.

Sonia's still at the party, where Cute Cop is drinking alone because apparently there's only one bar in town. She goes home with him, which, about time, lady.

Ooh! Ronnie found some cookies! Snivelly Doctor is working late and interrupts her cookie party to tell her he fired Incompetent Doctor. Ronnie is psyched, but I still say this place is going to need more than three actual doctors.

She goes in to check on Liver Failure Woman, but Dr. Sands pulls her out to show her Mike's brain scans. Everything is fine with his brain, surprisingly. They have a heart to heart about everything. Apparently Dr. Sands' presence has the power to cure Ronnie's rampant and untreated PTSD symptoms. He has signed a two-year contract and is staying, he doesn't care if Ronnie's married.

The next morning, Sonia's sneaking out of Cute Cop's apartment, even though he wants to get breakfast. Rude! And stop shunning breakfast foods, you guys!

Ronnie's in Liver Failure Woman's room, who is being quite candid and feisty old broad-y about being able to tell that two men are after her. They discuss her surgery, and Ronnie tells her she doesn't recommend it, as she files her nails. I hate this pilot, oh, so much, but this is actually a really tender scene. But that might be the gin rickeys talking. I've had a few since I started this recap. Gin rickey!

Chloe decides to sit with braindead boy's mother and hold her hand as she cries, like hospital staff is a class of people she really wants to be comforted by right now.

Ronnie looks in on Liver Failure Woman's room from the outside as her children hug her and accept that she has chosen not to have the surgery. She tells Dr. Sands that they can just be friends and they both chuckle about how unavoidable their torrid affair is going to be. Assholes.

Time to get drunk again! Ronnie, Sonia and Chloe are drinking to the triumphs of the day for a change, when yet another brawl breaks out in the bar. The unicorn bartender has a gash on his arm, and the ladies run to him to treat him and shove their boobs in his face. They get him to take his shirt off, though. The end!
