MONDO EXTRAS
Mercy Killing
They decide to follow suit and get drunk, and then commence on an actually really funny boozy treasure hunt around the house. Apparently Kate Mulgrew hides liquor around the house "like a squirrel."
They sit on the front porch, drinking bourbon straight out of the bottle, like only people on TV do, and discuss whether Ronnie should or shouldn't get back together with Mike. She reinforces that he cheated on her while she was in Iraq, and her brother makes a "people in glass houses..." comment, so apparently there was some mutual cheating. Bobby suddenly gets all angry and says sure, Mike slept around "a lot" (!) while she was gone, but he never fell in love, which apparently Ronnie did, so it's worse? That is not how relationships work, really! Anyway, he then storms off (runs in the family), and Ronnie wastes a perfectly delicious and beautiful bottle of bourbon by angrily throwing it on the ground. She is dead to me.
The next day (I guess), Sonia walks by the cute plain clothes cop on her way into the gunshot victim's room (who is now handcuffed to his bed, despite the coma that should keep him pretty harmless already) and he tries to make pleasantries with her. He's clearly hitting on her, so I can see why she'd be so annoyed by him, but she just starts emasculating the guy, calling him a little boy with a gun who's no different from the gang members he fights, and by the way, he's so broke it makes her want to kick him in the nuts. Surprisingly, he takes it in stride and actually gets a smile out of her, but she gets a text from the lawyer and runs out...
...to gush to Male Nurse outside about the fancy event her fancy boyfriend just invited her to, fancily. He high fives her. Excitement abounds.
Chloe is standing outside of an ICU room looking much more stoic than usual, and Ronnie walks up to ask what's going on. Apparently gang gunshot victim #2 has had a hemorrhage of some kind and is now braindead. Snivelly Doctor from before gently tells the boy's mother, and she understandably freaks out, as Michelle Trachtenberg unsuccessfully tries to act her way out of a paper bag behind her.
