MONDO EXTRAS
Talkin' 'bout My Generation
At the bar, Steven is drinking, but there's a bigger crowd than when he nearly got socked by Kenneth, and Jackie shows up to hit on him, and she eloquently tells the cameras to fuck off. Then Kenneth is at his house, and Dawn wonders why he missed the entire shower. She realizes that he's drunk, and she seems kind of impressed actually. He pulls out a gift from behind the couch, though she says that he didn't need to because he lets her live there and all. It's a Baby Bjorn to help carry the baby around, and then she makes him put it on. He just breaks down. And then takes it off and starts bawling. She says that Uncle Kenneth should get used to wearing it, and he seems honored that she wants him to be part of the family. He almost smiles.
At the bar Jackie and Steven are getting drunk and she thinks that he's got the right idea about life, with no ties or anything. He says he has to make a phone call... and goes outside and leaves a message on Caroline's phone. He feels bad about their encounter before, and says that he had a bad time with his dad, but that he wants to make it work somehow. I don't see that happening.
We see Caroline in bed reading to her son. Kenneth and Dawn sitting on the couch watching TV. Rolly looking at a picture of his wife. Brenda getting on a plane. Anders watching footage of Brenda. Jackie dancing all slutily with Steven. Falcon DJing and making faces. The Voice tells us that a lot can change in 10 years, and there have been unexpected turns, but the past decade was just the beginning. Then we see old prom night footage of them all jumping in a pool. And we're done. For now.
What does My Generation have in common with Friday Night Lights? Find out.
