Bryant and Moretta ask Janella why she's wearing purple, if she's affiliated with a particular gang. Nope. She's just afraid of being killed, so she's not saying much. But she really wants to be a cop when she grows up.
At the house of kiddie porn guy, Det. Adams and her team bust in. They find the incriminating evidence in a pile of magazines titled "Little Virgins." But kiddie porn guy isn't at home. They put out an APB. And she makes everyone leave the apartment so he won't get freaked out and run again. She then sees a bunch of ants crawling around.
Santa Monica Blvd, 6:45 PM: John and Ben drive by a hooker. John appropriately yells for the street walker to show him the goods. The hooker says no dice. But it turns out that she's a vice cop named Shauna and Cooper taught her everything she knows, except maybe how to walk in super high heels all night long to attract potential johns. She points them in the direction of "the guys." They turn out to be undercover cops. There's a pissed-off looking guy with a mustache sitting in the backseat, he was picked up "working the bushes" in a public park. Shauna's wire picks up her interaction with a client. She shoos him away because he wants to pay her for a sexual favor, but he's got a baby in the car seat in the back. He drives off in his minivan. John and Ben drive off, he tells Ben if it is getting to him, that he can just quit and do them all a favor.
At the station, an irate mother is there, mad that Bryant and Moretta are interviewing 14-year-old girls without a parent around. She gets even more ticked off when Moretta suggests that they could always move her. Janella says they can call her if they have more questions, which causes the mother to drag her out of there.
A call of unknown violence calls in, John tells Ben that it could be funky. Ben responds anyway.
They go see the bus driver at her house. Despite seeing the entire crime shake down and getting a good look at the perps, she's not willing to say squat. She says that everyone loses people and everyone bangs around there. The detectives walk away with no info, but then Bryant gets a call from Janella. She wrote down the license plate. He tells her she'll make an awesome cop.
The plate? Coincidentally the same as the one that is sitting in front of the house had the unknown violence complaint. John and Ben run the plates, just as Moretta and Bryant discover that the car belongs to a guy named Zig Zag, who just got out of jail and they've been on a spree of "ABGs", or Any Body Goes. Moretta puts out a broadcast.
