MONDO EXTRAS
The Rambaldi X-Files of the Fringe Eureka's Lost Ark
He's going to Rome next week and it's coming with him. He leans in to let her know he means business and she holds up a lighter in one hand, and a glowing object in the other. He is transfixed, just starring at the glowing thing.
Artie has outfitted himself with a harness of some sort, and is furiously looking at a map of the warehouse. Then, he fricking ziplines across the whole damn thing, which is a pretty expedient way to get around the place, actually. I just don't know how he resists ziplining all day long. Seriously, if we had a zipline in the TWoP offices I'd never get anything done.
That same day, blonde girl from the professor's office walks into what looks like a bakery and is scolded by someone for being late. Her name is Emily, and she is Cody's girlfriend. That's when the agents come in to question her, though it's not entirely clear how they found out where she works.
Cut back to Artie, fresh off the zipline. He finally finds the picture he was looking for -- it's a renaissance era painting of a woman holding a knife. Unfortunately, he realizes he forgot his Farnsworth in his office, and can't tell the agents whatever he just figured out at the moment.
Emily tells the agents she was talking to the professor about a play she's in that he's overseeing, and that he knows about what happened between her and Cody, which he failed to mention to the agents. She's shifty about the whole thing and there's obviously something up with her. Emily says she's only heard Cody speak Italian once -- right before he punched her. The conversation shifts to Lorna and Emily says Cody's the only family she's got. Then Pete steals some food. Because he's nine.
We've got trouble at a gas station. The professor is speaking crazy Italian when, in some postmodern homage to Zoolander, he pours gasoline all over himself and lights the lighter the blonde woman gave him and kablooey. Ouch!
The agents walk through the town and speculate on what they know so far and Pete reveals some issues he's got with women. Then an ambulance speeds by, as if the exploded professor could really be helped by some paramedics. Pete's magics tell him to chase after the ambulance on foot. I'm pretty sure he dropped his stolen cookie, too, that's how urgent this matter is.
Artie is laboriously dragging the painting through the warehouse (it's kinda big).
