Kal Penn: A little bit.

Sara M: Do you find yourselves thinking you might have some of the diseases on the show, since you're so immersed in them?

Kal Penn: I just wonder, with all of those things going on in real hospitals, how is it that misdiagnoses are rare?

Sara M: Did any of you watch the show before you were cast?

Edi Gathegi: I didn't. I got the part and then saw all the episodes.

Sara M: So that must have been a nice surprise for you.

Edi Gathegi: I was like, "This is one of the best shows I've ever seen! I just got on this?"

Anne Dudek: Yeah, I'm really proud to be part of a show that has such a good cast, and the writers, it's all wonderful.

Sara M: I know the cast is very close. Was it weird coming into that situation?

Edi Gathegi: No, they've been great.

Kal Penn: Tell her the flower story.

Edi Gathegi: Oh, yeah, my first day on the job, in my trailer, there were flowers with a note that said, "Welcome to our House, our House is your House."

Anne Dudek: Everybody was so welcoming.

Sara M: I'm really looking forward to watching you guys.

I also spoke with Peter Jacobson, who plays another one of the fellow candidates:

Sara M: How are doing, Peter?

Peter Jacobson: Pretty good, nice to meet you.

Sara M: Having fun so far?

Peter Jacobson: You mean here, tonight? Or on House?

Sara M: On the show. I mean, clearly this party is a blast.

Peter Jacobson: Much better than House. Hugh Laurie's mean and it's just bad. No, House has been wonderful. It's a great show, obviously, millions of people watch it every week, and they know what they're doing, and it's very comfortable and relaxed and it's great to come in with a new group of people and be part of that.

Sara M: You get along well with the new guys?

Peter Jacobson: Yeah, we get along really well, the new guys, even in a somewhat stressful situation we've really bonded.

Sara M: Do you find yourself thinking you have cancer a lot, since on House all symptoms can lead to cancer?

Peter Jacobson: Well, I'm a doctor, so it's more like I think other people have it. Just being around that, I mean, I've performed plastic surgery already and I did some sort of heart catheter the other day -- things that I know nothing about -- just being around it, physically, at least in the fake hospital, it does put it in my mind a little bit, I am certainly a lot more conscious of my health in general.
