Sara M: I enjoyed the interplay between your two characters. Will we see more of that?

Josh Gad: Hopefully. I mean, so far it's really been, his stuff has been with Fred Willard, and it's priceless, I mean, the two of them are hysterical. And a lot of my stuff has been paired with Kelsey Grammer, and God knows how an actor deals with that.

Sara M: Yeah, was that a little bit terrifying?

Josh Gad: It was at first, but then, he's such a goofy, fun guy --

Ty Burrell: Yeah.

Josh Gad: -- that it starts to become so easy and so actually relaxing because you feel like you're in great hands. And he is a consummate professional and he's just a great guy, he's really cool.

Ty Burrell: One cool thing is that if the show runs for a while, every combination will be explored, you know?

Sara M: And your character will be able to explore different weather situations. I'm looking forward to winter.

Josh Gad: Have you seen the second episode?

Sara M: No, I only got the first. The last I saw of Ty's character he was flying off-camera.

Josh Gad: He gets some great stuff in next week's episode. He gets tasered, and it is one of the funniest things you'll see on TV this season, I guarantee it.

Ty Burrell: I was laughing about this with Chris Lloyd, one of the creators, but we've really just scratched the tip of the iceberg with physical maladies for the field reporter. If you go on Youtube, it's unfathomable, the amount of crap those guys --

Sara M: I was actually just talking about that with one of the affiliate reporters outside, asking her if she's afraid that she'll be, like, attacked by a cat someday on the air and then three million people will watch it on the internet.

Ty Burrell: Yeah, exactly. The woman who was pressing grapes with her feet --

Sara M: Oh my god, Grapes Lady, Grapes Lady! My favorite.

And then we spent a minute doing impressions of Grapes Lady, which is difficult to transcribe.

Sara M: My favorite thing about that video is that the Grapes Lady is cheating on the grape stomping and that's what made her lose her balance.

Ty Burrell: She was?

Josh Gad: She was totally cheating!

Ty Burrell: Right now, I really like -- there's this guy, a local weatherman --

Sara M: Cockroach guy?

Ty Burrell: No, not the Cockroach Guy, the lizard. Have you seen the lizard?

Josh Gad: I'll have her sign a pre-nup.

Sara M: She loved you when you were making sixty cents a week.

Ty Burrell: And then they multiplied it by a hundred!

Sara M: Tremendous! There you go. And now you're in SAG, so you get insurance. Good times.

Ty Burrell: It was before the benefits that she was there.

Sara M: She's not going to have to pay for her doctor anymore!

Ty Burrell: I still have to pay for my psychologist.

Sara M: No, they cover up to twelve visits a year. So I've heard. Anyways, congratulations! Now, Josh, behind the scenes, are you anything like your character on the show? You're both in very similar situations in that you're new and young and being thrown into something. I mean, your character is very stressed out and sweaty. Um, not that you're sweaty. I haven't seen any evidence of that.

Josh Gad: [checks himself] Nope, I'm dry.

Sara M: Note to readers: Josh is NOT sweaty. Okay, that's covered.

Ty Burrell: Yeah, Josh handled that situation much more gracefully than Ryan did.

Josh Gad: It was an example of art imitating life, I mean, when I was thrown into this, so, too, was Ryan. But in my daily life, I'm a little more -- I would like to believe -- a little more even-keeled than Ryan Church and more level-headed when it comes to dealing with stressful situations.

Sara M: I enjoyed the interplay between your two characters. Will we see more of that?
