J: I thought it was a bit Talbots.

WC: It was.

J: The length was weird. It was a little old-lady.

H: Oddly enough, I wasn't looking at her that much, despite the fact that she was the only thing on the stage.

J: Oh, she got screwed!

H: The song's not funny out of context.

J: Where are the dancing rats? It's the Oscars! As Heather said, they had interpretive dance for Crash that year, and Amy Adams doesn't get anything?!

H: Maybe she has a phobia of backup dancers.

J: They could have put the movie on a big screen behind her.

H: If Robin Williams gets to Blame Canada with a bunch of people in mountie outfits, like, give Amy Adams a spider.

WC: And if you can't do anything else, at least put her in a costume that makes her look like her character.

H: Or screen the scene behind her, as Jessica said.

J: It was weird. I felt for her.

H: I like her [non-performing] dress better now that I know it was dark green. It was a little hard to tell on the red carpet coverage, because they were all so crammed in there that none of them were getting full-body shots. So I'm happy she wore that colour; I love that colour on a redhead. I'm really tired of the sideswept hair every single time.

J: She has such lovely hair!

WC: At least she looked like she did it, Cameron Diaz.

H: That's the thing: it's all relative in Hollywood. I didn't love the cut of the dress; I thought the bodice was a little...icky. That's the wrong word, but it wasn't my favorite.

WC: If you're going to wear strapless, you have to have big boobs. It's just how I feel.

H: I put her on my "meh" list when I was jotting down notes to myself.

WC: Yeah. And the Marion Cotillard dress was very controversial at our Oscar party, but I thought it was neat.

J: I loved it. I was unsure about it for the first couple of hours, and then I was in the shower the next morning thinking, "I loved that!"

H: It's funny, because we complain about the lack of good coverage -- camera angles -- but with most people, it's like, "Eh, whatever." But with her dress, I wanted to see more of it. "I want to keep looking at you in it; I want to see how it moves."

J: And she seems so delightful.

H: She was so great. It's so nice to see someone who's not so blasé about the Oscars. Get over yourselves, everybody else.
