LB: Yeah.

MS: Well, he probably deserves it. Who do you think deserves it?

LB: Well, he probably does, but I just have a distaste for the Patriots.

MS: Why? Because you're a Giants fan?

LB: I'm pretty much an anyone but the Patriots fan.

MS: Why?

LB: I just have a strong distaste for the whole Boston sports culture.

MS: Where did you go to school?

[I tell him. He makes a face.]

MS: I think he deserves it because his team went undefeated.

LB: I suppose, but still.

MS: Well, yeah, he is a dick.

LB: Heh.

MS: That's unquestionable. He is definitely a dick.

LB: So what made you want to do a comedy album? It is not a particularly common genre these days.

MS: I just liked the idea of it. I liked the idea of having different media -- different formats to work with. Having done television and a movie and internet stuff and performing live, I thought, hey how about a record?

LB: Since you do have such an enviable résumé as far as television and film roles, what made you want to try stand-up? Not enough heckling?

MS: Oh, I've always wanted to do stand-up. I just never had time because I was always doing other things. Really, it is just about performing. For me, I wanted to do it...well, it's really about performing. Performing stand-up is really unlike any other type of performance. For me personally it's very...I seem to...it's freeing. It is cathartic. It's a very good outlet.

LB: As far as?

MS: My mind. My brain. Just getting up there and ranting.

LB: So if you weren't doing stand-up, what would you be doing to clear your mind?

MS: Therapy.

LB: So I guess this is cheaper.

MS: No, I actually get paid. It's the opposite. It's sort of hard to describe. It's just a very good way to connect. To relate directly with the audience. It's very interactive.

LB: Do you like the interactivity?

MS: Yeah, I love it.

LB: Do you ever get heckled?

MS: Yes.

LB: Do you like that too?

MS: Yes. It is just an adventurous experience to just go onstage with a microphone and an audience and just see what happens. It's a real experience. Right?

LB: I don't have it in me.

LB: Would you do it at a comedy club?
