At the pool, Lauren is making a move on Luke, floating in his arms with her arm around his neck. Arianne says that Lauren is aggressive and it makes her uncomfortable. Lauren aggressively pushes Luke in the water as he lies on a raft. When Luke tires of her, he seeks out Melissa for some alone time. He asks her how her first date ever is going. Melissa says she's having fun, but she didn't exactly envision her first date being with a bunch of girls or in a bathing suit. Luke asks Melissa what made her go on this show after being reluctant to date for so long. She says she realized that this was not a joke and that she could be open. Huh? Whatever. This show is a joke. They kiss chastely.
Lauren gets alone time next. She says that she's going to be herself all the time, which might not be the best idea considering what we've seen of her true self thus far, and be aggressive to give herself an advantage over the other girls. She tells Luke that she thinks they're a lot alike because they have many of the same interests. Like family. And not many people are into family, so that is special. Lauren tells us that Luke responded with a "you're so sexy, I want you" glare. A glare? Maybe he is a lot like Lauren if he glares all the time. And then there's making out. Arianne interviews that Luke and Lauren seem to have a nice connection, but then she giggles a lot before composing herself to say that Lauren seems very young to her. Well, she would. To you, Arianne. But she's the same age as Luke. Lauren interviews that she's not here to make friends. And with that, the date is over.
That night, all the girls get to drink and hang out with Luke at the mixer. Luke interviews that three girls are going home tonight, and it's a tough decision. Bonnie asks Luke what his mother would say if he brought her home. Luke says he cares about his mother's opinion, but he's also a grown man and he makes his own decisions. So I guess Mama Luke would not be into the tattooed Bonnie at all. Bonnie says that he's seeing that despite her tough appearance, she's a 50s housewife on the inside. Ugh, what? She is no longer my favorite person on this show.
Luke spends time with Kreepy Kristian, who says he made her believe in love at first sight and he's everything she wants in a man. She interviews that same thing, adding that her mother would approve of him, too. Luke interviews that he has a great "friendship" with Kristian, but isn't quite sure it will develop into something more.
Malissa says she's looking forward to seeing more girls go home tonight. Then she rubs arsenic on the beef skewers.
Luke talks to Heather again, because god forbid any of the other girls should get camera time. She's worried that she'll be going home for barfing on her group date, but Luke tells her not to worry. He says he learned a lot about her based on how she handled a bad situation. And then they make out, even though Heather has barf mouth.
Back in the lobby area, Kristian says she hopes Malissa goes home, because she's her biggest competition. Malissa doesn't seem to care too much about what Kristian thinks.
Luke talks to Lauren, who asks if he wants to know anything about any of the other girls. He says it seems more like she has some shit she wants to talk. "Get it off your chest if it'll make you feel better," he says, obviously not into catty girl bullshit. Lauren doesn't realize this, and says that Arriane doesn't want kids and she's old. She says that at 32, Vanessa is also old. Luke says he doesn't care how old anyone is as long as they have a connection. "Older women aren't as exciting. They're past the stage where they want to go bungee jumping," Lauren says. And yet, they say women hit their sexual peak in their late 30s-early 40s, so ... hmm. Lauren interviews that she thinks wasting her time with Luke by talking shit about the other contestants will better her chances.
And with that, Emme enters with the ring bowl. The women remove their rings and place them in the bowl in preparation for the elimination. Melissa interviews that she's feeling nauseous right now. Malissa's poison strikes again!
And now, elimination. Emme says that three of the women will not get their promise rings back. Oh, man -- promise rings? This show is beyond cheesy. Luke enters and says he enjoyed spending time with everyone, but he's looking for the one girl who is right for him. He takes out the first ring and gives it to Mandy, whoever she is. Anna gets the second ring. Someone named Amanda gets the third one. Malissa remains confident in her chances, and sure enough, she gets the fourth ring. Christina gets the fifth ring. Someone named Danielle worries that she won't make the cut. Bonnie gets the sixth ring, but I don't like her anymore. The next ring goes to Heather and her barf mouth. Lauren gets the eighth ring even though she's mean and rather unpleasant. Vanessa interviews that she has a feeling that Lauren is "on the catty side." Random Danielle gets the next ring. Someone I've never seen before named Tali gets the tenth ring. Only two more to go, and Melissa and Kristian are starting to freak out. Melissa gets the eleventh ring, and she is happy. I'm happy for her. There's one ring remaining. Emme appears to say exactly that, and then she takes off again. Weird. Oh, god. Kristian interviews that she'll be heartbroken if she doesn't get the ring. No shit -- she will burn the mansion down if Luke rejects her. Fortunately for the mansion's owners, Kristian gets the last ring.
Emme does another drive-by hosting to announce that it's time to say good-bye to the losers. One girl hugs Luke and thanks him and interviews that she'll find her Prince Charming someday. I don't even know who she is, though, because she didn't get any screentime at all and they didn't put any helpful text under her. Some other girl leaves and says that she doesn't feel bitter and thinks the girls left in the game are really great. And finally, Arriane. She says she's not going to take this personally and she looks forward to meeting the right man. I still don't know how she qualified as overweight enough to be on this show. And with that, the twelve remaining contestants share a group hug with Luke.
