Back to the restrained German. He is worn out, man. Henry tries to get him to drink some water, and he learns that the German man considers him to be "the devil." Henry sees the missing three needles, and realizes what Edward has done. He asks the German not to make him hurt him again, and the German agrees to give him what he wants.
Mavis's office. She thanks Henry for finally getting results, and he goes off on how wrong and illegal torture is (and I'm in no way saying it isn't, just... that torture is OK when it's just pretend on the TV!). We get a little clue as to what Janus is (I think) though, when Henry says, "We don't torture people!" And Mavis incredulously responds with, "We? There is no we." He clearly meant the United States, which for one reason or another, Mavis does not feel Janus is beholden to.
At home with the Spiveys, Angie has found Henry's missing home videos. There's more talk of The Hummingbird, and Henry says he's not doing it anymore. Angie just agrees and walks out. She's so agreeable, it's weird. There's got to be something up with her.
In a Janus conference room, Mavis is explaining to Raymond and Edward that they'll be infiltrating the German buddies' London HQ and tapping into their mainframe so Janus can surveil them. Tony explains the op-tech and mission plan, which involves a computer decryption freeze spray, and I got some flack for saying so in the blog the other day, but this scene makes me miss Alias really badly.
Oh, yikes. After everyone leaves the conference room, we discover that Edward has been Henry all meeting. Mavis says it'll be fine because Raymond is leading the op and Henry can just chill in the van. I'm sure everything will go completely according to this plan.
Spy capers in foggy London-town! Raymond and Henry are getting ready for the mission in a van outside a club. Henry has a twenty on the two targets inside via a surveillance tap in the van. Before Raymond takes off, Henry asks him what his callsign is, and we learn that it he is the "Boy Scout" to Henry's Avenger. Big Michael Vaughn fan, that Raymond.
