It's morning in Henry and Angie's bedroom, and Henry's clearly waking up after Edward has rocked Angie's world again. The good new is, they didn't do The Hummingbird. The bad news is, whatever they did do, Angie claims it was so nasty there shouldn't even be a word for it. Oh lordy. She also suggests they take the kids on a trip to New York to see where Henry grew up, out of nowhere. He's into it, but very, very pissed at Edward, as usual.
He stomps off to the kitchen to make breakfast, where he finds the home movies and turns them on to watch for himself. He sees himself get a baseball mitt for his eighth birthday, writing "Henry Spivey" on the side of it with the wrong hand -- which I think is just a continuity oversight, and probably not really telling of anything -- and charges for the hall closet, where he locates the mitt in under 60 seconds. Wow, he's surprisingly organized. And surprisingly convinced that this is proof of something.
Which Mavis quickly squashes in her office in the next scene. She explains that Janus fabricated the video, superimposing real videos of Edward as child into images of hologram people. So that woman in the video isn't even Edward's mother; she's just some fake-out they created for Henry. Yikes, that's sad. He doesn't even know Edward's mother. I thought they'd at least be given the same parents.
Back at Spivey Manor, Henry shreds a photo of the woman he thought to be his mother these past 19 years, looking about as depressed as can be. Angie comes in to tell him dinner's ready, and asks him if he looks so upset because of the CT scan. Henry's like, oh crap! You told me about the CT scan?! And takes off for the hospital, where he discovers that his doctor buddy has been murdered. But by who? To be continued!
