The slats in the banister morph into fence posts outside; Brian is rollerblading through the neighbourhood. He brakes and crankily greets Sharon, leaning against her mother's car, and informs her, "So, by the way, Chase is coming over tomorrow night to, you know, compile data." Is that what the kids are calling it nowadays? Sharon asks, "So?" Brian spits, "So...she's coming over! So...to help me! So that obviously proves that --" "What?" Sharon asks. "That you were obviously wrong about the whole situation." Sharon gives him a second-degree whatever face as she says, "Right. I was wrong, Krakow. Just keep telling yourself that." He blades off desultorily. Sharon preens in the sunlight. Sharon, if you're this jealous of Brian's crush on Angela, I think he could turn it to you pretty quickly if you'd stop being such a bitter beeyatch.
In Patty and Graham's bedroom, Camille asks, "Remember when we stopped speaking?" "YES," Patty says in a tone that indicates the wound hasn't entirely healed. "Because you told everybody that I made out with Mitchell Moscarelli behind the duck pond," Patty adds, for the viewers' benefit. "Well, you did make out with Mitchell Moscarelli." "But not behind the duck pond," Patty drawls. Heh. She hands Camille something that looks like a budget stair-stepper deal, and Camille thanks her and says, "I'll probably just put this in my closet." Patty tugs at her hair in the mirror and asks, "Should I cut my hair short?" I know that doesn't seem like an important topic of conversation, but it is.
A curtain is pulled aside by an unseen hand, revealing Sharon, still leaning against Camille's car. The camera pulls back to reveal that the hand belongs to Angela, who abruptly leaps out of her window seat and cries, "I can't take this! I feel sick!" She flops down on the bed between Rayanne and Rickie. Rayanne assures her, "Look, I was there --" "And I was practically there from hearing it so many times --" Rickie adds. Rayanne concludes, "And he is definitely semi-interested." Delightedly, Angela asks, "So you think he --" "I think that part of him is partly interested in you, definitely," Rayanne says, as if that "part" thing isn't true about every guy, always. Rayanne adds, "I mean, he's got other things on his mind." Angela groans, "But that's the part that's so unfair -- I have nothing else on my mind! How come I have to be the one sitting around analyzing him in, like, microscopic detail, and he gets to be the one with 'other things on his mind.'" Rickie says, "That is deep." Heh.
