Cut to tutoring, where Brian is giving Jordan a song-and-dance about not having "background" in the areas Jordan is "weak in," so he should re-sign up and get another tutor. Brian hunts in his backpack for a pen, and there's banter about the bear, which he still has for some reason, and he tries again to lie that he might have to "drop out of the program or whatever," and a cute Asian girl in a plaid mini comes over to ask if Brian has an eraser she can borrow. Brian absently hands her a pencil and tells her to keep it. Jordan eyes the exchange, then fixes Brian with a "you dog" look. Brian: "What?" Jordan whispers, "She would sleep with you?" Brian, overjoyed and disbelieving at the same time: "What?" Jordan leans forward: "She would sleep [points at Brian] with you." "Why, because I gave her my eraser?" No, Jordan says; she just would. He tells Brian to go get her number. Brian bursts into embarrassed laughter, saying that he can't just go ask for the phone number of a girl he doesn't even know, "like, without warning." Jordan stares at him, gets up, goes over to the cute Asian girl, and gets the digits; Brian squirms. Jordan tosses him the scrap of paper, sits back down, and starts talking about how "The Odyssey is like this real long book," but Brian, in awe, interrupts, "I don't believe this. You, like, do this? This is, like, how you live?" Jordan sits back all mack daddy: " Yeah." Brian starts laughing in disbelief again, but it's occurring to him that a tutoring relationship with Jordan could prove mutually beneficial. Jordan starts laughing too. Enter Angela to find them laughing together, and she asks at what, and Jordan says "nothing" and Brian says, "You sort of had to be there," and it then occurs to Brian that he could use a friendship with Jordan as leverage with Angela. Angela looks annoyed; Brian tries to stop laughing, but can't, and giggles that he has to go sharpen his pencil. Hee. Brian watches from the pencil sharpener as Angela sits down and says conspiratorially to Jordan that, if it's weird for him to get tutored, she doesn't mind "helping [him] a little longer." "It's not so weird," Jordan shrugs, shooting a glance at Brian. Angela pretends she doesn't mind. Jordan fills the silence by observing neutrally that she could have sex with him if she "really want[s] to help," and Angela starts laughing, "Ohhh, ohhh, ohhh god," and Jordan says good-naturedly, "I guess that's that's a no." Brian watches and sharpens. Angela gets up, still laughing, but fakely now, and the other tutoring pairs shush her as she fake-giggles that she'll let them get back to work.
